Service
-
A watch is a precise mechanical instrument that requires regular maintenance.
-
Quartz movements (VK63): battery life is typically 2–3 years. Replace the battery at a professional watchmaker.
-
Automatic movements (NH35, NH34, SW200, etc.): we recommend a full service every 4–6 years (cleaning, lubrication, and gasket check).
-
Water-resistance and gaskets should be checked every 2–3 years, especially if the watch is used in water.
-
The watch can be gently cleaned with lukewarm water and a soft cloth. Do not use chemicals.
-
Seiko movements (VK63, NH34, NH35) are known worldwide, which means that servicing and battery replacements can be done by most professional watchmakers.
Special instructions for AJH VK63 chronographs
-
The watch is water-resistant, but never operate the chronograph pushers under water. When swimming or showering, make sure the pushers and crown are fully closed.
-
Do not change the date between 9 PM and 3 AM. During this time, the date-change mechanism is engaged and forcing it may permanently damage the movement.
Special instructions for AJH NH34 / NH35 automatics
-
Always ensure the crown is fully secured before exposing the watch to water.
-
Do not change the date between 9 PM and 3 AM – the same rule applies to these movements.
Usage tips
-
Avoid strong impacts and magnetic fields (e.g. speakers, induction cooktops).
-
Always close the crown carefully before contact with water.
-
If your watch has a screw-down crown, do not overtighten it.
-
Store the watch in a dry, protected place when not in use.
